The Challenge
The International Police Association website required huge amounts of content with lots of pages and also support the constantly expanding member base. The site needed to be member centric and offer members an online community that would help to bring them together offline as well.
The Approach
The website was built using the River CMS and Senior’s powerful MemberBase membership solution was integrated into the system to give the site the ability to grow with new content and allow new members to be added with ease.
The IPA website required a lot of information in different formats and this was made easy using the modules available in the River CMS. The IPA makes use of Events, Forums, News and Product Management to name but a few which all work in a way that makes the site easy to both manage and navigate.
The Results
The finished product is not only a fantastic looking website but a totally integrated membership solution that perfectly suites the requirements of the International Police Association. The website itself features a vast amount of content in many different formats including events, product catalogues and news stories, all made easily navigable by the easy to use global and second level navigation structure.
MemberBase is used to organization and add membership accounts. MemberBase also allows the International Police Association to interact with members, setup membership groups and run detailed reports on current members.
Who is the International Police Association?
The International Police Association (IPA) is a worldwide membership organisation for serving and retired police officers. Its aims have remained consistent since 1950 - to unite through friendship and professional understanding, any serving and retired police officer, without exception.
The IPA is autonomous and does not involve itself in political or welfare issues. Members leave that to the excellent staff associations who address the concerns of specific groups. Instead, IPA members' main focus is on creating friendship across all groups.
